Paddle the South Downs - Cuckmere to Alfriston

Itinerary

We start our kayaking trip at Cuckmere Haven, an area of true beauty with flower rich chalk grassland and over-wintering wildfowl and colourful wild flowers, making our way along the river Cuckmere inland to Alfriston. As the river meanders along Cuckmere valley and into Litlington we'll pass the giant white chalk horse that dominates the view of the left side of the valley. Once we get to Alfriston there's time for a quick snack before heading back to Cuckmere with the outgoing tide.
