Sussex Vineyard & Cheese-maker Bus Tour

We meet outside the Jury's Inn Hotel Behind Brighton station. Here you will be greeted by your driver / guide and its all aboard our luxury mini-coach. We set off on our journey over the top of Ditching Beacon (the highest point is Sussex) and down into the Sussex wine region, snaking through rolling hills and ancient villages. We arrive at our first vineyard where we will be greeted by the winemaker and be shown all areas of wine production from grape to glass. Your vineyard tour begins with a short stroll in the vineyard where the guide will talk you through the history of the vineyard and how they grow and nurture their vines. You will be given a tour of the winery and see where the grapes are pressed and fermented and then into the bottling plant and cellar. After your tour you will have a tutored tasting of at least four award-winning English sparkling wines.

After our first vineyard, we head to one of our favourite traditional country pubs for a specially selected menu of locally sourced produce.

After lunch, we head to High Weald Dairy Farm for a tour of their dairy and cheese making facilities. The head cheese maker will show you all processes of cheese production and take you into their cheese store to explain the ageing process. After your tour, we head into their tasting room for a tutored tasting of a range of their delicious cheeses. After High Weald Dairy, we head to a local beauty spot for 360 degree views of sussex. A Great British day out!
