2-Day Fraser Island 4WD Tour from Brisbane or the Gold Coast

About this activity
Fraser Island was formed from sand that drifted off of mainland Australia over the millennia. It is now the biggest sand island in the world as well as the only locale where the rainforest grows in sand. With dozens of freshwater lakes and creeks, hulking sand dunes and expansive rainforest, the island boasts plenty of beautiful places to explore. No wonder it was named K’Gari — paradise — by the local Aboriginal people.
Stay overnight at Eurong Beach Resort, located on Seventy-Five Mile Beach. Have a choice of a private twin room or a shared 4-person room with motel-style accommodation (see Pricing for details). Some meals are included on each day.

Had an amazing experience at Fraser Island with the Sunset Safari - 2 day Eco Tour. The trip was well organised and Scott (our tour guide) was absolutely brilliant. He is very knowledgeable and super friendly as well. Our stay at the Eurong Beach Resort was amazing and the food was well catered considering our dietary requirements. Although the package is quite pricey, it was worth every penny. Thank you Sunset Safaris for an unforgettable experience! Highly recommended

Great trip to very beautiful, diverse and unique place. Also thanks to our guide, Andrew, who knew a lot and was always very keen to explain in details the history behind the flora and fauna of the island.

Truely enjoyed this trip to amazing Fraser island under the leadership of Lindon, Sunset Safaris - laid back as well as putting in that little extra like a swim and a drive on Rainbow Beach on our Way back. Do need better Information prior to departure on what to pack and what take inside the bus.

My entire group had a terrible experience on this tour. Hopefully these notes help improve the following things. 1. Guide - Rhen sp? was very rude, unhelpful, disorganized and to some even offensive. Simple questions were greeted with rude responses or ignored. Example: requests to turn up the AC on the bus were brushed off with someone is always going to be too hot or mate, get over it! this is summer in Australia. Two full hours later when we stopped he finally came back to realize there was NO AC and every passenger was sweaty and unhappy. The remaining 2 days spent on the bus were not much better because the temperature on the bus was either 16 or 29 degrees. 2. Sites - There are a number of sites listed on this company's site that we did not see. When we approached the guide we were told to do your research or not my fault you booked the wrong tour. We all compared notes over lunch and reviewed the company website to find out we had all been oversold. 3. Accommodations - See above for the bus but one additional note is I thought it was odd when the driver asked 4 guests to let air out of the tires before we could drive on the beach. Also, the air compressor broke on the way back which required a 1.5 hour detour. No apology or thanks for your patience from the guide, but we were lucky he knew where to get it fixed. The resort was mediocre. I paid for an upgrade to get a premium single room, which was just a standard shared room with 4 beds to myself. 4. Food - Don't expect much. Lunch from the bus was not great. Cold cuts, rolls and empty sauce bottles. The island is beautiful and something everyone should see. I enjoyed my time with the other guests bonding over how disappointed we were with the provider of this tour. I hope this review helps this provider improve and travellers to find the right tour for them

Tour was fantastic! Keith and Rhett were knowledgeable, super friendly, accommodating for all. They kept it interesting and informative and most of fun! Great sites, would never be able to put this together on my own so well worth the money! Thanks!
