Brisbane Bike Tour

3h30
About this activity
Make your way to South Bank Parklands to meet your guide. Begin the tour with a safety briefing, and get outfitted with a sturdy city bike and helmet.

Set off past the Wheel of Brisbane and Streets Beach, a popular swimming beach that overlooks the central business district and Brisbane River. Your guide points out fine dining and entertainment hot spots along the way.

Head to Kangaroo Point Cliffs, which were quarried for stone in the 1800s. You'll hear how the stone was used to build structures such as The Old Windmill and the Commissariat Store.

Your guide shares Brisbane's history going back to the original Aboriginal inhabitants of the region, and points out key landmarks as you wheel around central Brisbane, stopping regularly for great photo ops and water breaks.

Choose from a 3.5-hour morning or 2-hour afternoon tour year-round, and a 2-hour twilight tour option in the summer months (remember, that is December–February here - see details in Itinerary below).

Total distance traveled varies depending on the riding abilities and interests of the participants, and your guide can adjust the itinerary to suit the group. All tours end with return to your starting point in South Bank Parklands.

I could not finish the ride but my friend did and said it was a fantastic ride. I am rating on the equipment and the advertised tour which I thought were not up to par. Although the tour guide was knowledgeable and professional and quite nice there were some problems with the tour as advertised. The bike equipment was not in very good shape and made it difficult to handle pedestrian traffic. The route was more difficult than advertised and was quite dangerous for unseasoned riders.

Despite the fact that the weather was not ideal on the day we did this tour, we had a great time and really enjoyed the experience. Right from the start, the quality of the bikes was great and the Ross, the guide, was well prepared, polite, friendly and easy to be with. He made it clear that the trip would be at a pace that suited us. He found the perfect balance between cycling time and stopping for commentary and I really felt we got to know the key areas and places of interest in Brisbane. We had to occasionally dodge the rain showers but as we were happy to cycle through these, Ross was happy to oblige. It was a great day and I would recommend this to anyone as an excellent way to see and learn about Brisbane. Martin from London

PRICELESS 3-hour biking through the most beautiful sites of Brisbane. We passed the walkable bridge, along the beautiful river with beautiful houses and 20 million dollar historical house. Love the weather, love the routes, love Brisbane so much! We enjoy the biking as much as our 10-year old boy. It's not tiring as we stopped frequently under the shades. Learned lots of Brisbane city's culture....love it, love it and love it. Thanks David!
