Brisbane River High Tea Cruise

2 h
About this activity
When your wooden paddle wheeler departs from Eagle Street Pier in Brisbane, the crew will show you to your table for afternoon high tea.

Enjoy bottomless sparkling, beer and soft drink and free-flowing blooming tea as you’re entertained on board by a popular pianist. The menu features traditional sweet and savory selections such as freshly made scones served with jam and cream, chocolate fondant, caramel slices, gourmet savory wraps and finger sandwiches and more. Additional drinks can be purchased from the full bar.

Unobstructed views of the waterfront make for great photos ops of the highlights such as Story Bridge, a heritage-listed steel cantilevered bridge that connects north and south Brisbane. You’ll also pass the Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Kangaroo Point Cliffs, Queensland Maritime Museum, Southbank Cultural Precinct, the Wheel of Brisbane and many more attractions.

After a leisurely 2.5 hour cruise, your tour ends when the paddle wheeler returns you to the dock.

The trip was as advertised - a cruise on the Brisbane River with High Tea. We enjoyed it and recommend it. There was a tasteful live singer with computer stored backing music. The boat was stern paddlewheel driven like on the Mississippi. There were 3 decks - the uppermost deck had the high tea, and the lower two decks had other functions. The captain allowed people to be photgraphed holding the large steering wheel. The only possible issue was the Viator voucher said leaving at 1pm. This means at 1pm you see the boat departing, Really the voucher should say to be sure to board at 12:30

The boat ride was very nostalgic. The high tea was OK but the sandwiches were dry and the amount of food was more like a booking for 2 not 3. I was gobsmacked when I was told that because I had champagne I HAD MAYBE A QUARTER OF A GLASS AS A TOAST That I couldn't have any orange juice,Really, for the price we paid quite unreasonable. My sister in law is coming to Brisbane soon and wants to do a high tea but I will find something a bit nicer, go for the boat ride not the food.

High Tea without the Tea. We had a very enjoyable 2 hour cruise along the beautiful Brisbane River. Unfortunately the service was disappointing, we had to go and get our drinks ourselves along with other people on this cruise and we where not offered tea or coffee after our food. It was a good experience and would recommend doing the cruise but don't count on great service
