About this activity
Your full-day visit to Cape Leveque begins with an early morning departure from Broome by 4WD. Listen to your guide's fascinating commentary as you travel through the Dampier Peninsula, a remote Aboriginal-owned coastal area of red desert crossed only by dirt tracks.

Stop for morning tea at the Beagle Bay Aboriginal Community, and admire the shimmering pearl-shell altar of the community's Beagle Bay church. Then travel north to the remote One Arm Point Community, the perfect place to view the spectacular Buccaneer Archipelago and witness the huge tidal flows of the Kimberley

On nearby Cape Leveque (locally known as Kooljaman) enjoy a picnic lunch and time to relax on the pristine beaches and spectacular coastline the cape is renowned for. Go for a swim, try some snorkeling, take a walk along the sands or just soak up the sun's warm rays on the beach.

Returning by 4WD, arrive back in Broome at around 6:30pm. Or choose to catch a direct flight back to Broome at around 4pm.

The driver thought that the rougher the trip the better the experience. This may satisfy back packers, but not those who value their spine. If he owned the vehicle I think he would handle the vehicle differently. The flight back is excellent.

The driver handled the dirt roads extremely well and provided a refreshing morning tea and a great lunch. Long day but well worth it. The optional flight was fantastic.

Enjoyed this tour immensely. Pick up was seamless from my accommodation. On this tour we went from Broome to the tip of the Dampier Peninsular and return. I did the whole trip in the 4WD bus and enjoyed the scenery from the bus windows, plus the driver commentary. Along the way we visited two aboriginal communities, Beagle Bay and One Arm Point. Beagle Bay had a beautiful church and was our stop for morning tea. One Arm Point was a beautiful location, where we stopped for lunch and had a tour of the commercial activities the community is engaged in to raise money. We also visited Cygnet Bay Pearling farm, where we had a very interesting tour of the facility. We had the opportunity to swim at beautiful Cape Leveque beach, where there was a fresh water shower for use after your swim and changing facilities. The bus driver had a wealth of knowledge. I would recommend this tour, if visiting Broome.
