Shore Excursion Zeebrugge: The Famous Chocolate Story & Museum

When porting in Zeebrugge (Bruges port) we all want to get off and discover the sights and delights of Bruge. There is no better way to do this than sampling the famous Belgium chocolate whilst having free time to see Bruge centre enjoying its charm and shopping.

Our shuttle picks you up from the port and takes around twenty minutes to get you to Bruge centre. The time matches up with your cruise porting making sure you are not waiting and get to make the most of your time ashore.

Once in Bruge centre included in your ticket is entry to the popular chocolate museum. Here you will discover the story of how cocoa is transformed into chocolate. This is a great choice for families as all children aged between 6 and 12 get to enter the The Chocolate game as they enter. Couples love this tour as well as the romantic charm that chocolate and Bruge gives off will make you fall in love all over again.

You will experience the mystical lives of the Mayans and the Aztecs, who saw their chocolate drink as a drink from the gods. During the visit you will learn how the Spanish came across this drink which at first they found unpalatable, but later thirst-quenching. You will have free time during your visit to walk around the picturesque centre of Bruge before meeting back up with your shuttle to take you back to the cruise port. Please not this is not a fully guided tour all day and allows you the freedom to visit the chocolate story/museum in your own time.
