First of all, Brussels is not a bicycle friendly city. The streets are narrow, there is a lot of traffic, and the cobblestones don’t help. Our “Small Group Tour” had NINE riders, plus the guide, who was as surprised as we were as to the size of the group. This made staying together very difficult, especially as the traffic lights can change very quickly. The bikes themselves were fine, but there were problems with the handbrakes. They need to do a better job making sure you don’t have to use a death grip, as there are some significant downhills. Aneliese, our guide, was very good, and her English is excellent. Unfortunately the other factors are what determined our rating of the tour.

This was an excellent way to see the city. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and encouraged questions. The stop for beer and authentic Belgian Fries was lovely. I would highly recommend this tour
