Day 1 | Welcome to Bucharest, a city first mentioned in documents contemporary with Vlad Țepeș. You will start exploring Bucharest with a tour of the city’s most famous tourist attraction, the Palace of the Parliament and continue with a walking tour through Bucharest’s Old Town.
Day 2 | The second day of your Dracula tour begins with a trip to Târgoviște, a place which served as the capital of the historic region of Wallachia during the Middle Ages. Next, you will visit Poenari, one of the main fortresses of Vlad the Impaler and we will check in at a guest-house on Transfagarasan.
Day 3 | In the first part of the day, we will break away from the vampire stories and enjoy some of the spectacular landscapes of Transylvania on Transfăgărășan. You will then reach Sibiu, a city where 600 years ago the legend of Dracula started spreading through the noblemen and merchants that inhabited the city. In Sibiu, you will visit the ASTRA Museum for a wooden carriage ride and you will take a walking tour of the city.
Day 4 | The fourth day of your tour will begin with a trip to Corvin Castle, which is believed to be the place where Vlad Tepes was imprisoned by John Hunyadi for 7 years. Next, you will head to the Orăștie mountains to visit the famous Dacian Fortresses of Sarmizegetusa Regia and take a trip to the Densuș Church, one of the oldest Romanian churches.
Day 5 | Your day begins with a trip to the Alba Carolina Citadel the largest medieval citadel in Romania. We will then head towards the „center of the Earth” through the salt deposits of Transylvania. Today, the Turda Salt Mine has been turned into one of the coolest underground places in the world, providing countless hours of entertainment to its tourists.
Day 6 | After breakfast, you will leave from Cluj and head to a nearby Saxon village in order to visit the Bierțan Fortified Church. Your tour continues with a trip to Sighișoara, the only inhabited medieval fortress included in Europe, where you will visit the symbol of the city, the Clock Tower. Sighisoara is also considered the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler, and you will visit the place where the infamous Wallachian ruler lived the first years of his life.
Day 7 | The first destination of the day is Brasov, where you will walk on one of the narrowest streets in the world, explore the beautiful Council Square, and discover the secrets of the Black Church. You will then head to Bran for a tour of Dracula’s Castle. Bran Castle is one of the spookiest medieval castles in Europe, and it is widely known as the inspiration beyond the myth of Dracula.The final stop of the day is the Snagov Monastery, the burial place of Vlad Tepes.
Day 8 | After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport according to your flight hours.
