Stop At: Old Town, Bucharest

Your private guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Bucharest.

Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Saua Dichiu

Pick-up at 8AM, from your hotel in Bucharest. Private transport to Sinaia ski resort, at the foothills of Bucegi Mountains. There, we’ll jump in our 4×4 off-road vehicles and cross the mountains using the beautiful Trans Bucegi alpine road. Several short stops (eg. Saua Dichiu) for panoramic views and for the “on top of the world” feeling.

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Cheile Zănoagei

• 1st major stop: Zanoaga Camping. We’ll leave the cars behind and, after a bit of hiking (approx. 15 min), we will reach the entrance of Zanoagei Gorge. Here, wilderness is at its best: a small stream crossing between 2 giant walls of stone, abundant vegetation and beautiful bridges from where you can take photos.

Stop At: Barajul Bolboci

• 2nd major stop: Bolboci Lake – “The sea of Bucegi”. Standing on top of the nearby dam, you can admire the beautiful reflections of the lake.

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Peştera Ialomitei

• 4th stop: Ialomitei Cave & Monastery, a place of legends & myths, some being related to our ancestors – the ancient Dacian civilization. Inside the cave’s many galleries, you can admire the Halls of Decebal (a great Dacian King) or the Shrine Room where you can drink a very pure mineral water.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Podu' cu Florile

The 3rd major stop is on a high plateau offering 360 degree views. From Bolboci lake, we’ll take the cars on a 4 Km long, purely off-road trail up to the “Bridge of Flowers” plateau. On the way up, we’ll stop at an old, traditional sheepfold. The views from the top of the plateau? Well, this is a surprise. No spoilers!

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Cabana Padina

• 5th stop: Padina Plateau. After the visit at the monastery & cave, we’ll return to Padina and stop at a traditional log cabin for lunch. Afterwards, it’s back to Sinaia and then straight to Bucharest.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Bucegi Plateau, Moroeni, Dambovita County, Southern Romania

Optional stop: The Sphinx of Bucegi. On a clear day without winds, we can skip the Ialomitei Cave (Pestera Ialomitei) and take the cable-car up to Bucegi Plateau. There, we can see the famous Sphinx of Bucegi - a natural rock formation resembling a gigantic human face. Afterwards, we can also do an additional 30 min hike towards Caraiman Chalet - a fabulous panoramic view point from where you can see the entire Prahova Valley. A mind-blowing view and probably a once in a lifetime experience! If we take this optional route, we will take lunch at Piatra Arsa Chalet (instead of Padina Chalet)
