This tour was amazing - a definite must-do in Bucharest. Marius was a very informative guide and shared so many interesting facts about the city during communism. He also shared his own personal experience under communism. The tour takes you to several important city sites and was well worth the money spent. Thanks Marius!
Communism isn't inherently captivating to me, but this tour made me understand so much about Romanian history, and about how communism managed to take hold (for a time). Tour guide Marius was super-super smart and thoughtful. The sights were not gorgeous (I think that's the point!) but the insights were.
Very knowledgeable guide
Very informative, always interesting, well paced, I thoroughly recommend
Well versed guide, very interesting and informative. Would have preferred not to have the mid tour stop maybe only 10-15 minutes would have sufficed.
A wonderful tour. Guide was intelligent and knowledgeable. Stories of early communism in Romania, Ceausescu power and excesses, role as Communist maverick, his wife, his destruction of much of old Bucharest, the revolt that threw him out all very well orchestrated with path of tour and visuals...down to the artillery shell damage high on a few still unrepaired buildings. Lingering effects today were interestingly integrated.
Very informative, vivid description of the rise and fall of communism in Romania. The guide also gave an interesting view into life under communism. Highly recommend.
Really informative and lucky enough to get a personal tour. Will be bringing students back as so useful to current A level and IGCSE History students.
