Day Trip To Bulgaria From Bucharest

Visit spectacular Veliko Tarnovo- the Medieval Capital of Bulgaria. After crossing the border, we will make our first stop at the St. Dimitrie Basarabov Monastery, the birthplace of the saint who is known as the protector of Bucharest. The monastery is completely carved into stone. Our next stop will be in Veliko Tarnovo, known as the "City of Tsars." It was the medieval capital of the country. We will visit the Tsaravets Fortress and its majestic church that stands on top of the hill. After a well deserved lunch break, we will head towards Arbanassi, a village with well preserved medieval architecture.
