Stop At: Palace of Parliament, Izvor St., 2-4, Bucharest 050711 Romania
You’ll begin your tour with a 9:00 am pickup from your Bucharest hotel/hostel where your private English speaking guide will take you first to the first "BIG" attraction. Of course, if you will think ‘BIG’ than you must think about the Parliament’s Palace. The second largest building in the world, People’s Palace remains the masterpiece of the Romanian architectural genies. Its grandeur, shaped by a late neoclassical style will bring you back in the communism period and the overwhelming feeling gave by its sumptuosity will follow you until the end of the journey.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Stop At: "Dimitrie Gusti" National Village Museum, 28-30, Șoseaua Pavel Dimitrievici Kiseleff, București 011347, Romania
Our second stop will be at the Village Museum, where the selection of bric-a-brac artifacts, unique Romanian costumes and ceramics are making the scene for the authentic ‘AT home’ Romanian peasant’s past. While entering the traditional gates of the open-air ethnography museum, you will discover a great range of 272 houses, all quietly gathered in a green surrounding area of more than 100,000 m2. The ‘village’ is abundant with vibrant theme markets, great gastro bar, and ‘a do not miss’ jarring communism exhibitions which portrays Ceausescu’s program of land collectivization.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Stop At: Old Town, Bucharest Romania
Last but not least, you will get a glimpse of the Bucharest old town Lipscani where you will learn that there’s something new in the ‘old’ name of the bohemian town and this must be given by the vibrancy of this never-sleeping place which is the landing destination for every young soul. Don't forget to bid your tour guide farewell after he will drop you at your hotel/hostel.
