Alena was an amazing guide. Brilliant English and gave us a brilliant introduction to Bucharest. We saw and learnt so much about the city and history. She went the extra mile to make this a very memorable tour.

It has taken a long time to write this review in between lifes busy schedule, but we felt it important to give special mention and grateful thanks to Claire Alina for accompanying us on the Guided Walking Tour of Historical Bucharest last September. For my wife and I, it was our first time to visit the city, and Claires tour gave us some wonderful memories to take home with us. She picked us up at our hotel and we walked the various sights and promenades of the city. It was a really friendly and relaxed afternoon, she was a truly charming hostess and the three of us hit it off so well. She explained much of what it was like to live in Romania, and we all chatted about the ups and downs of life that everyone has to go through, which dont change from country to country. She gave us particular insight into Romania's history and development, from the era of King Carol, through both world wars, the Ceaucescu regime and on to the present day. We collectively recalled having watched much of the footage of the 1989 Revolution on TV in our youth it was certainly food for thought to stand in Revolution Square and recall those troubled times, while at the same time watching some kids skateboarding there. Some highlights included our visit to an Orthodox church. As Catholics it was so interesting for my wife and I to see the differences but also the similarities between both religions. Claire explained all aspects to us so well, indeed was equally interested in our opinions and was more than happy for us to take extra time to pray and to reflect in such a beautiful space. We also visited a local bazaar, selling hand painted eggs, scarves, and other local crafts, as well as several stalls of antiques and militaria which kept me busy. Again, Claire was happy to share her time and knowledge with us both. Recommended without hesitation, hope you enjoy your visit to Bucharest as much as we did.

I must commend Claire for the job she did during my tour. It was forecast to snow...which it did but we continued with the tour as if it were any other day. Very knowledgeable, patient and caring host. Would redo under more favorable weather conditions.

Very good tour with a lady who spoke excellent English. Three hours went quickly and we picked up loads of information that would not have if walked independently.
