Stop At: 1777 Wine Cellar Museum, Str. Valea Larga nr. 80, Valea Calugareasca 107620 Romania

After only 1 hour drive, we'll arrive at 1777 Wine Cellar Museum, an exact replica of a wine cellar dating from 1777, where you'll see very old wine making tools (some of them 2000 years old), very old wine barrels and ceramic recipients used for storing wine.

Stop At: Bellu Manor, Str. Orzoaia de Sus nr.2, Urlati 106300 Romania

A beautiful place of Romanian architecture, it hosts an important part of Baron Alexandru Bellu's legacy. He was a pioneer of photography and his main theme was the Romanian peasant, especially young beautiful Romanian women doing everyday chores: picking the grapes, working the lands etc.
Here you'll see the oldest wine press in Wallachia, very big barrels and other wine making tools from 2000 years ago.

Stop At: LacertA Winery, Fintesti 434, Buzau Romania

Here you'll find out all about wine making and in the Autumn maybe even get to participate in the harvesting, if the grapes are ready to be picked. You'll take a guided tour and then you'll have a wine tasting of 6 different wines, accompanied by a local cheese and meat platter.
Lacerta winery is located on the same 45 degrees parallel as Bordeaux and Toscana wineries, and this means the wine will have a rich, silken taste.
