Day 1: BUCHAREST
Airport transfer to Bucharest.
Overnight in Bucharest
Day 2: BUCHAREST (1h drive)
Start a panoramic tour of Bucharest with stops in the Constitution Square, the Revolution Square and the old town. Visit the Palace of the Parliament, the 2nd largest administrative building in the world and the picturesque Village Museum.

Day 3: BUCHAREST–TARGOVISTE–POENARI–SIBIU (6h drive)
Visit Targoviste Princely Court, the place where Vlad the Impaler ruled, climb 1480 steps to see Poenari fortress and continue to Transylvania by Transfagarasan road, located around 2000 m altitude.

Day 4: SIBIU–HUNEDOARA–ALBA IULIA–SIBIU (3h drive)
Visit the largest Gothic castle in Romania, Huniazi castle where Vlad the Impaler was imprisoned. Carry in to Alba Iulia Vauban fortress and former capital of Transylvania. End the day with a walking tour of Sibiu, former European Capital of Culture in 2007.

Day 5: SIBIU–BIERTAN–SIGHISOARA (1h/50min drive)
See Biertan UNESCO site and then head to Sighisoara, one of the best preserved medieval citadel. Discover the House of Vlad Dracul, allegedly the birth place of Dracula and visit the Clock Tower and the Church on the Hill.

Day 6: SIGHISOARA–TARGU MURES–BISTRITA–BORGO PASS (4h drive)
Today you will visit 2 German cities: Targu Mures and Bistrita. In Bistrita, Jonathan Harker, Dracula novel character, overnights for the first time in Transylvania. Stop at the same hotel and enjoy a delicious lunch. Reach Dracula Castle and visit his dungeon . . . at your own risk!
Overnight in Borgo Pass
Day 7: BORGO PASS–BICAZ–BRASOV (6h drive)
Admire the beautiful landscape of the Carpathian Mountains and stop at Bicaz Gorge and the Red Lake. The evening is dedicated to Halloween. Enjoy a late visit at Bran castle and a Halloween party.
Overnight in Brasov area
Day 8: BRASOV–SINAIA–HARMAN–BRASOV
Visit Peles castle, former summer royal residence of the 1st Romanian royal couple and carry on with the quaint Harman fortified church. The day ends with a walking tour in Brasov medieval city with the Black Church.

Day 9: BRASOV–RASNOV–SNAGOV–BUCHAREST (3h drive)
The highlights of this day are: Rasnov peasant fortress and the mysterious Snagov monastery, where Vald the Impaler is supposed to be buried.

- Day 3: Between October and July the Transfagrasan road will be changed for the road along the Olt Valley
- Day 8: Peles Castle is closed on Mondays between May 16th and September 15th. For the rest of the year it is closed on both Mondays and Tuesdays. Each year the castle is closed for the entire month of November. Pelisor Castle or the Cantacuzino Castle in Busteni may be used as alternatives.
- Day 8: During the cold months, between November and April, the Black Church will be seen only from outside.
