Waterfalls and Caves in Lovech

About this activity
At 6am we are picking you up from your Bucharest hotel. We are starting our journey on the route Bucharest – Giurgiu – Krushuma – Lovech.
Our first stop is in Krushuma, a unique region in the Balkans. Here, we enjoy the wonders the view has to offer. Picture this: high and clear waterfalls flowing along a carpet of raw green moss. Deep caves with windows sculpted in their roofs. The Devetoshka Cave, unlike any other in the Balkans, is an immense underground world that awaits our wondering eyes. The miracles of nature greet us at every step.
A few kilometres away, we enter Lovech, a small town traversed by cobbled streets and boasting with stylish buildings. We wander along their walls surrounded by a bohemian atmosphere, marvelling at the medieval architecture. We take a walk along the famous Covered Bridge crossing the Osam River, and we take photographs to capture memories on the streets of the Verosha quarter. To finish our trip, we enjoy a panoramic view over the town from atop the Hissar Fortress.
We reach Bucharest around 22:00, depending on the traffic and the customs queue.

Our guide Andre was incredible, his knowledge and friendly manner made for a very pleasant day. It was a long day and there was a lot of uphill walking at times but it was worth it. The waterfall was fantastic and the caves spectacular. We arrived back at our hotel completely exhausted but very satisfied with the day’s experience, highly recommend.
