About this activity
In the beginning we will leave Bucharest for a visit at Sinaia Monastery and Peles Castle in Sinaia.
The trip ends with a wine tasting at the famous Cellars of Rhein-Azuga,supplier of the Romanian Royal Court between the world wars.The gift shop offers you a wide variety of wines.
After the wine tasting you will have the opportunity to enjoy a hearty Romanian meal.The route will be Bucharest(departure at 8.00 o"clock),Sinaia Monastery,Peles Royal Castle,Rhein-Azuga Cellar,Bucharest.
The Sinaia Monastery.The spatharius Mihail Cantacuzino(a purely honorary dignity in the Byzantine Empire)founded the monastery upon his return from a pilgrimage to Mount Sinai.The first buildings were completed between 1690 and 1965.
The magnificient Peles Castle,with its fairytale turrets and pointed towers risingabove acres of green meadows sprinkled with haystacks,was built as a summer residence by Romania's longest serving monarch,King Carol I,who died and was buried here in 1914,just months after the castle's completion.
