The food walking tour In Budapest was a good way to sample Hungarian traditional food and also some modern cuisine. Our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. There was quite a long way to walk between different eating places but interesting sights were pointed out. We didn’t need to eat dinner after the tour.

Alex our tour guide was excellent! She gave us lots of information and even e-mailed us the list of the places we went and also wrote some suggestions of ruin bars, and restaurants . We started in the Great Market Hall but spent very little time there. If we had known we would not be seeing much of the market we would of gone early before the tour to walk around. The places we visited to eat was quite varied.

Fanni was our tour guide, and her sweet and bubbly personality made our tour twice as fun. She took us to 5 bars/restaurants. We enjoyed wine spritzers, deep fried carp, venison and truffle sausage, donkey sausage, summer and winter sausages, white fish dip, foie gras dip, chicken Paprikash, trifle for dessert, and a unique Hungarian dessert of chocolate covered cottage cheese roll flavored with lime and sugar. Altogether a wonderful afternoon in a small group. Fanni left us with an email containing recipes for some of the dishes we sampled. She was also kind enough to call us a cab using her app. We highly recommend the tour, and Fanni in particular as a guide.

Our guide Orsi was very nice, helpful and tell us many things about Budapest. We give her a ranking of 5. However the food takes it down a bit. The fish tasted like..fish, the soup like water and the roaster like nothing. We give the food a ranking of 1.

This was an excellent walking tour, Fanni our guide was very knowledgeable and had an excellent way of talking around all the Hungarian food and culture that we encountered as we walked around. Lots of interesting food to sample - we had some paprikash for the main meal part (similar to goulash), salami (several pork, venison, goose and horse which I didn’t personally try), traditional Jewish soup, trout chips, smoked trout, several fish patè’s, chocolate, sweets etc. I would highly recommend it as a more interesting way to explore Budapest!

This tour was so much fun! Our guide Dori was amazing. We tried chocolate, salami, fish, goulash, and strudels as well as some other small foods. The walk inbetween each place was a short easy walk and Dori pointed out and explained multiple sights as we went. It was a great way to try a bunch of different foods while seeing some of the sights! Highly recommend.

One of the best food tours we have taken. Sampled Hungarian food, drinks, and desserts all over the city.
