This was very well done. Professional tour guide/limo driver. Well-selected wineries to try. The wine in Hungary is nascent, but will mature into an impressive wine region soon, no doubt. Also gets you out of the immediate Budapest area to see more of the region. Highly recommend.
We hadn't really heard much about Hungarian wines, but wanted to learn as much as we could about Budapest and Hungary in our short time there. The tour was very nice - Mercedes sedan was comfortable and the guide was knowledgeable and shared some history and current information about wine in Hungary. We visited two small, start-up type wine caves and sampled their wines. The wine was somewhat adolescent in character, but definitely something to watch as they evolve their knowledge and sophistication of how to cultivate more complex wine. Most unfortunate thing was inability to purchase the wine...they produce in such small quantities that they sell almost exclusively to local restaurants.
