My kids and I took an over the top food tour in Vienna and were hoping to repeat the experience in Budapest as we booked this tour. We were a bit disappointed. Nora was a great host, super knowledgeable and very friendly. We came away from the tour with a ton of information about Hungary, the food and its culture. We certainly got to sample some very "interesting" cuisine and see some sites as we did it. For our tastes, it took about 5 hours, there was perhaps too much focus on miles and miles of walking and history and the food was to be honest -- just not that tasty to eat for our palettes. The goulash was delicious. The goose lard on bread with raw onion and paprika -- not so much. It may have been authentic (we wouldn't know), but it certainly wasn't yummy. Too much in the latter camp and not enough in the former.

Nora is a wonderful tour guide. We had a great day trying many local food, drinks and different types of restaurants in Budapest. We were so stuffed by the end of the day that we skipped dinner! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Budapest. This tour was a highlight of our trip.

Wonderful culinary experience with our professional and knowledgeable guide Nora. She took us through a range of different locations and places we would never have found on our own. Lots of delicious food and drinks to sample with a surprise treat at the end. A must do in Budapest.

Our tour guide, Nora, was fantastic and organized. We sampled different Hungarian wine Unicum, Palinka, red, white and beer. We tasted different Hungarian sausages, Goulash, cheese, cookies and coffee during the tour. We started around March 15 Square, visited the Main Market Hall, Jewish/Ruin District, Inner City and finished the tour at the train station and the most elegant McDonald in the world. Nora was very knowledgeable with Hungarian history. Our tour mates from Netherlands made the tour extra fun. I definitely recommend this 4 hour tour to anyone visiting Budapest. It was the highlight of our vacation.

The highlight of our holiday in Budapest. We saw parts of the city off the normal tourism trail, experienced some great food and had some wonderful insights. Highly recommended.
