Pass By: Hungaria Koncert, Duna Palota, Budapest 1051 Hungary

The tour will start from your accommodation in Budapest, where you will meet with your host, board your vehicle and head straight to the famous concert hall. Upon arrival, enjoy a 20- to 30-minute guided tour provided by a local host. Listen to the guide provide an overview of the history of the Danube Palace or Pesti Vigadó.

Stop At: Danube Palace, Zrinyi utca 5, Budapest 1051 Hungary

After the small-group tour, your host will show your VIP seats in the theater hall.

How does Strauss or Liszt sound for symphonic orchestra and cimbalom (hammered dulcimer)? With a repertoire covering musical styles such as operetta, gypsy music and Hungarian-related classical music, the Danube Symphony Orchestra leads the grandiose Budapest Gala Concert, in cooperation with professional ballet dancers serving as confirmation to the fact that music and dance is inseparable. The performance will begin at 8pm and will include operetta songs performed by soloists of the world-famous Budapest Operetta Theatre. In addition, there will be a rare opportunity to hear some unique elements in the program including traditional Hungarian folk instruments, the cimbalom and Hungarian folk song adaptations performed by authentic gypsy band.

As a VIP guest enjoy a champagne during the intermission. You will receive professional photo of you in the theater, and a Hungarian souvenir.

Combine your gala concert experience with a breathtaking evening cruise for a truly unforgettable Hungarian night out. If you choose to upgrade your evening at booking, you'll be escorted to the pier after the concert by your host/hostess. Once aboard, witness the breathtaking panorama of Budapest's skyline in a 90-minute cruise. The buffet dinner includes Hungarian and international specialties, a welcome drink and an optional included beverage. Enjoy the live music provided by the Rajkó Folk Ensemble while sailing.

After the show or upon return to the pier, you'll receive transfer service back to your hotel at around 10pm or 12am (if dinner cruise option selected).

This concert was absolutely wonderful. The Orchestra was sensational. The Concert had everything from wonderful music, brilliant singers, a Gypsy Band, great dancers performing everything from a ballet to the Kan Kan. I loved every minute!! The reason this is not getting 5 stars is more so the organisation. As a VIP guest you are picked up at your hotel, are given a tour of the Palace the Danube on this occasion, a souvenir photo etc etc. I phoned earlier in the day and enquired about the pick up time and was informed that it would be between 7.00/7.30 p.m. ... at 6.30 p.m. reception called my room to let me know that there was a young lady waiting for me! Luckily I was ready to go. We arrived at the theatre at 6.50 p.m., the young lady Lorraine was very friendly, but God love her, she really did not know what to do with me for 1 hour and 10 minutes as the tour only lasted about 15 minutes! She did try her best and eventually brought me to my seat. She then came back up to me and told me that her colleague was ready to take my photo. I was taken downstairs, told by her colleague to stand over there and they took a photo!! It would have been so much better if the photo was taken upstairs where I was seated and if they had shown me the photo to see if I liked it, but anyway, that didn't happen and I was taken back up to the balcony. At half time Lorraine brought me up a glass of champagne and sat with me through the interval and we had a very pleasant chat. After the show Lorraine arrived to take me to my taxi, but there wasn't one there!! We stood out on the street, she did her best to get a taxi, after approx. 15 minutes she then phoned her boss! He eventually came down, said hello, didn't introduce himself, didn't apologise but spoke continuously on his phone!! Eventually taxi sorted I was seated and left a very embarrassed looking young lady waving me goodbye! This is by no means a cheap outing, and it's just the little things that make a VIP trip a VIP trip, they need to improve in these areas. I would definitely recommend this outing though. Enjoy!
