About this activity
After meeting your guide in San Telmo, listen to a quick safety briefing before receiving your bike (a comfy beach cruiser) and helmet. Then hop on to begin your leisurely ride.

Begin in Puerto Madero, the newest neighborhood in the city. Its old docks have been transformed into restaurants, lofts and offices, which boast incredible views of the city.

From there, ride through Recoleta, famous for its French-style buildings and large parks. See Recoleta Cemetery, where legendary Argentinians like Eva Peron (aka Evita) are buried, and pass through Barrio Norte, an informal name given to a lively section of Recoleta around Santa Fe Avenue.

Then head toward the district of Palermo – Buenos Aires’ largest neighborhood. Pedal to Palermo Woods, the city’s largest park, where you can admire its rose garden with more than 400 rose bushes. See more of the park’s sights, including the Buenos Aires Zoo, the Botánical Garden, Plaza Italia, Galileo Galilei Planetarium and the Spaniard’s Monument.

Throughout your tour, your guide will tell you about Buenos Aires’ rich history and provide commentary about the sites you’re passing. You’ll also break periodically to stretch your legs and take photos. Your tour concludes 3.5 hours later at the original departure point.

I am a family of 4 with 2 kids aged 12 and 14. 20 km ride over 3.5 hours was very enjoyable and we saw the city from a different perspective. Cycles were not perfect but very functional and well maintained. Very flat route so at an average speed of only about 6 kmh, it was not taxing at all. The guides did a good job stopping traffic and keeping us safe. We do this at every city we visit and it always rates highly in our memories.

We thoroughly enjoyed our bike tour. Only one easy hill in the whole trip. We cycled with another couple and had a lady tour leader with a lad following us. It was a red hot day, but we went at a gentle pace with lots of stops at various points of interest. This is a great way to see many of the interesting sights of Buenos Aires. Most is on bike lanes, so don't worry about the traffic.

There’s the sightseeing, which was wonderful, and then there was the challenge of riding a bicycle on narrow lanes with zooming traffic and bouncing on cobblestone roads in the old part of town. The memory will stick with you. Palermo and Recoleta have wide open spaces for easy riding, beautiful!

I was fortunate enough that it was just me, so was really able to go at my own pace. The guide was very informative and had a ton of knowledge on the history of Buenos Aires. Most of the tour stuck to a bike path, there were a few parts that would've been trickier for larger groups. I can definitely recommend this.

This was awesome. My brother and I were the only ones who signed up for that time slot, so the tour guide took us all over the place.
