Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Buquebus, Av. Antártida Argentina 821, C1104 CABA, Argentina

Hop aboard a ferry and enjoy a scenic 3-hour sightseeing cruise across the Rio de la Plata to Montevideo. Upon arrival at the port, capture spectacular views of the city and of Uruguay’s beautiful coastline.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Theatre Solis, Calle Reconquista Corner of Bartolome Mitre, Montevideo 11000 Uruguay

Disembark the ferry and start your 1.5-hour sightseeing tour around the city. Truly a cultural capital in South America, this vibrant port city is home to many first-class singers and musicians. Visit famous landmarks in both the old and new city sectors, and stop at one of the main theaters -- the Solis Theater. Recently restored, this was one of the first theaters in South America and is a must-see when visiting Montevideo.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Plaza Independencia, Montevideo Uruguay

Travel to the Plaza Independencia, one of the main squares in Montevideo boasting a famous marble statue of General José Gervasio Artigas, a well-known South American military leader and national hero.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Palacio Salvo, Plaza Independencia 848, Montevideo 11000 Uruguay

Take photos of Uruguay’s tallest building, the Palacio Salvo.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Rambla de Montevideo, Montevideo Uruguay

After your tour, you will be on your own to explore more of Montevideo however you wish. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a restaurant of your choice, and then spend the afternoon exploring the city at your leisure. Walk through the beautiful streets, take time to browse the local shops, and discover the old part of the town, where you'll find cultural centers and museums that feature paintings and photography throughout the ages. Street festivals are very common in Montevideo, so don't be surprised if you stumble upon a Candombe or Carnival show. While the Carnival shows only operate in February, the famous Candombe takes place all year round.

Duration: 5 hours

Stop At: Puerto De Montevideo, 11100 Montevideo, Montevideo Department, Uruguay

When you are finished exploring on your own, meet your group at a designated meeting point and head back to Buenos Aires by ferry. When you dock in Buenos Aires, you’ll be transported to your hotel.

Duration: 1 hour

The tour operator never showed up On our arrival into Montevideo. And no one at buquebus seemed to know anything about The Viator city tour. We had no way of contacting anyone to help in Montevideo. So I would definitely not recommend this tour.

programm referred free time to explore the city but we were driven to a shopping center and had no time to visit more places. Information should refer: arrive with some time to the BuqueBus terminal because you need to check-in and cross Argentina's and Uruguay's borders

This tour was big disappointment. Not worth taking - better buy round trip ticket at ferry place for USD 100, and hoop on/off bus tour locally for USD 15. You get pretty much same thing with this trip. No tour guide, no tour in English. Beware that trip is really 17 hours long, from 5:30 am t 10:30 pm advertised as 10.5 hrs long. First bad experience ever with Viator.

Your pretty much on your own with this one. Theres no tour guide. I never received any help at all. I enjoyed seeing Montivideo, but it would have been better to just go to the Buquebus website and buy your own ticket. Its cheaper.
