About this activity

You will depart from a central meeting point in Buenos Aires, then to the countryside where professional, bilingual instructors will welcome you to start the lesson.

Depending on the group, there will be a theoretical explanation about riding techniques and then it’s off to ride the horses. Once everyone has been secured and is ready, instructors will show how to hit the ball as well as many other necessary skills. They will also talk about the rules of the sport and finally, once everyone is ready, we will play a polo game.

The normal plan is to play on horseback up to two sessions lasting about 45 minutes each. Here, you will truly experience what it is to be a polo player and how fun the sport is. Instructors will be with you at all times, helping you and offering insight on the culture of polo in Argentina.

After a fun game of polo, you can relax and enjoy time in the Argentinian countryside, before heading back to Buenos Aires.

I cannot recommend this activity enough, it was excellent. Fernando is a very patient and knowledgeable guide, even if you are not experienced on horses, by the end of the sessions you will be charging around the field thinking about polo, not worrying about riding a horse. The horses are lovely.

Wow, what an incredible experience! By far the highlight of our trip to Buenos Aires. Neither my friend nor I really knew how to ride a horse before arriving so do not let this deter you. The whole day flowed very naturally; Fernando was great at sensing our needs. hope to see you again Pipistrella!

This was an amazing experience - whether you know how to ride a horse or not. As a mom, and outdoorsy person, I booked this experience for my husband and 2 teenagers girl 17 and boy 19, We all really enjoyed this experience even though my son and husband have basic horse riding skills. Fernando, a fine young man and amazing polo rider, made my husband and son at ease and adapted the level. They both learned fast and had a great game. My daughter and I galloped a lot and tried to hit the ball. What a true Argentinian experience. Fernando was very professional, patient and excellent coach 'a good guy' . We wish you well Fernando in your future competitions. A must do if you want to have fun outdoors in Buenos Aires.
