Riding with the Gauchos in Argentina

3 days
About this activity
The estancia:

A home base for many of our horses, our Estancia in Corrientes provides accommodation and services above and beyond expectations. Located on the shores of the Corrientes River, surrounded by wetlands and wildlife, our guests enjoy access to wildlife safaris, river fishing, boating, river crossing on horseback, and long horseback rides across the countryside. The estancia has 7 comfortable rooms with a private bathroom and can accommodate up to 20 people. The meals are home cooked and served at a long table where guests and hosts meet and share their stories. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included as well as a high tea in the afternoon. All drinks including alcoholic beverages are included as well and wine is served with lunch and dinner.

Our horses:

The Argentine Criollo is recognized for its steadfast character, intelligence and endurance. One of the hardiest breeds, with a strong, muscular body and broad chest, they have been the willing and sensible working companions for gauchos in Argentina. The breed has been carefully managed since the early 20th century.

Often trained by the same gauchos that accompany our guests on our rides, our Criollos are safe, well trained, and smart. Whether you are an experienced rider or this is your first horseback adventure, our horses will provide you with an extraordinary riding experience.

All activities are included:

The host will coordinate with you the activities for the day, whether you want to ride the whole day and have a picnic in between or go for a ride in the morning and have lunch back at the estancia, go fishing or swimming, ride with the estancia's truck to look for wild life or even spend the day with he gauchos herding cattle. It is all possible.
