About this activity
Daraengi Village in Namhae is famous for terraced rice paddies on a steep hill on the outskirts of 488 m high Seolheulsan Mountain. The picturesque rice paddies make up 108 steps (consisting of stones and soil) and are great for taking photographs. Located in the south, the village is balmy in winter, and spring greens (such as mugwort and spinach) sprout before any other place in Korea. Environment-friendly agriculture flourishes because the sea breeze prevents insect pests.
Namhae (Southern Sea) Yangmori School is a small stock farm which looks down to the pure-blue sea.
Take a walk along the forest or have fun interacting with the Shepard-dog, cute sheep and various other mammals.

I was in South Korea for two weeks and visited a lot places, but when friends ask me what the most memorable part of the trip was, I always say the tour in Namhae. Namhae is a gorgeous county with beautiful seaside views, mountains, and lakes. The tour was expertly led by Max and Elvin who were so kind and knowledgeable about the area. Our first hike took us to a beautiful mountain temple overlooking a valley that lead to a faraway beach with islands in the distance. Truly a memorable site! We ate a delicious snack at the world's best picnic table before heading off to the next destination. Next we went to an area known for it's resemblance to Pachu Piccu. This was an stunning agricultural area where we enjoyed the sea breeze and turquoise seascape. We ate a traditional lunch that was freshly made with the produce and fish caught and cultivated in the area. Next we went to a hillside farm that had many adorable and lively sheep! I laughed so much during this time while feeding sheep and enjoying another stunning view of the countryside. If you are looking for a day of true relaxation, with hiking, and memorable views than this tour is for you. I had an amazing time and made the most of time in Namhae by taking pictures and soaking up as much of the beauty as I could. I would definitely recommend this tour!
