Day 1: Busan - Gyeongju

Stop At: Bulguksa Temple, Bulguksa 385 Bulguk-ro, Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do 38127 South Korea
Bulguksa Temple is the representative relic of Gyeongju and was designated as a World Cultural Asset by UNESCO in 1995. The beauty of the temple itself and the artistic touch of the stone relics are known throughout the world.

Stop At: Seokguram, 999 Jinhyeon-dong, Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do 780-400 South Korea
The Seokguram Grotto is a hermitage and part of the Bulguksa temple complex. It lies four kilometers east of the temple on Mt. Tohamsan, in Gyeongju.

Inside the round-shaped main hall are the Bonjon Statue, Bodhi-sattva and his disciples. The Bonjon figure wearing a generous smile is seated on the stage engraved with a lotus flower design.

Pass By: Daereungwon, 9 Gaerim-ro, Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do 38165 South Korea
Within Daereungwon Tomb Complex is Cheonmachong Tomb (Ancient Tomb No. 155), which was excavated in 1973. Cheonmachong Tomb consists of a wooden coffin placed inside an underground chamber mounded with boulders and earth, characterized as a typical upper class tomb of the Silla period.

Pass By: Cheomseongdae Observatory, Wolseong-dong, Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do South Korea
Cheomseongdae is an astronomical observatory in Gyeongju.

Cheomseongdae means star-gazing tower in Korean. Cheomseongdae is the oldest surviving astronomical observatory in Asia, and possibly even the world.

Pass By: Anapji Pond, Inwang-dong, Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do 38163 South Korea
Gyeongju Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond were the secondary palace site which was used for the palace of the Crown Prince along with other subsidiary buildings. It was also a banquet site for important national event and important visitors.

Stop At: Gwangalli Beach, Gwangwangannaeso 219 Gwanganhaebyeon-ro Suyeong-gu, Busan 48303 South Korea
The area has undergone a water cleaning program, and as a result, the water of the beach is pristine, drawing many young tourists. In addition to the beachfront, the Gwangalli area is filled with romantic restaurants and cafes, as well as stores selling famous fashion brands.

Day 2: Busan tour - part 1

Stop At: Haedong Yonggung Temple, 416-3, Sirang-ri, Gijangeup, Gijang-gun, Busan 619-902 South Korea
Haedong Yonggungsa Temple is situated on the coast of the north-eastern portion of Busan. This superb attraction offers visitors the rare find of a temple along the shore line; most temples in Korea are located in the mountains.

Stop At: Cheongsapo Daritdol Skywalk, San 3-9, Jung-dong, Haeundae-gu, Busan South Korea
The 72.5m long and 20m high observatory in the shape of a blue dragon stretches out impressively over the ocean. You are able to see the ocean under their feet from the transparent glass floor for the thrilling experience of walking on the sea.

The observatory provides panoramic view of the Cheongsapo Village, its shore and lighthouses, particularly beautiful during sunset.

Stop At: Dongbaekseom Island, U-dong, Haeundae-gu, Busan South Korea
There are many islands named Dongbaekseom Island in the South Sea where dongbaek trees thrive. Among them, the Dongbaekseom Island in Busan used to be an island, but is now part of the mainland. Dongbaekseom Island is a very small, and many dongbaek trees and evergreens thrive there.

At the top of the island, there is a statue and a monument of Choe Chi-Won, a scholar and writer during the Silla Kingdom.

Stop At: Nurimaru APAC House, 116, Dongbaek-ro, Haeundae-gu, Busan 48100 South Korea
The name Nurimaru APEC House is created by combining the Korean words nuri (“world”) and maru (“summit”), and “APEC House,” which refers to an APEC conference hall. Collectively, it means “a house where the world summits gather together for an APEC meeting.”

Pass By: Shinsegae Dept. Store Centum City, 1495 U-dong, Haeundae-gu, Busan South Korea

The Shinsegae Centum City Department Store is registered in the Guinness World Records as the largest shopping complex in the world. The department store has a countless number of items all under one roof. Visitors can also enjoy numerous entertainment options in the complex. Shinsegae, which opened the first department store in Korea, reflects decades of retail experience in this flagship location.

Stop At: Shinsegae Centum City Spaland, 35, Centum nam-daero, Haeundae-gu 1F, Shinsegae Mall Centum City, Busan 48058 South Korea

The 1st floor houses the Korean traditional 'Jjimjil-bang' and traditional saunas from all over the world. Visitor favorites include a radiant heat-based 'Roman Sauna,' which recreates the ancient roman bath using modern technology, and the traditional 'Finnish Sauna,' which is an all-natural, Finnish-style sauna said to keep you healthy during the freezing winter months.

Pass By: UN Memorial Cemetery, 93, UN pyeonghwa-ro, Nam-gu, Busan 48529 South Korea
The UN Memorial Cemetery in Korea honors UN soldiers from 16 countries and UN aids from five countries that were killed in battle during the Korean War from 1950-1953.

Some notable sites and memorials include: Memorial Service Hall, Memorabilia Hall, two Turkish Monuments, Greek Monument, Australian Monument, British Common Wealth Monument and two ponds.

Day 3: Busan tour - part 2

Stop At: Beomeosa Temple, 546 Cheongnyong-dong, Geumjeong-gu, Busan South Korea
Most of the original Beomeosa Temple site was lost during the Imjin War (1592-1598) but was restored in 1613 and has remained until now.

It is one of the three most famous temples in the Yeongnam region, along with Haeinsa Temple and Tongdosa Temple.

Stop At: Gamcheon Culture Village, 203, Gamnae 2-ro, Saha-gu, Busan 49368 South Korea
Gamcheon Culture Villiage is formed by houses built in staircase-fashion on the foothills of a coastal mountain, earning this village the nickname "Machu Picchu of Busan." Many alleys that cut through this community are vibrantly decorated with murals and sculptures created by the residents.

Pass By: Gukje Market, 38, Gukjesijang 2-gil, Jung-gu, Busan 48946 South Korea
Following the Korean War, refugees who fled to Busan set up stalls in order to make a living, and this was the beginning of the Gukje Market (gukje meaning "international" in Korean). The Gukje Market is one of Korea’s largest markets; each alleyway is crowded with stalls, and it connects to Bupyeong Market, Kkangtong Market, and other smaller markets.

Pass By: Jagalchi Market, Nampo-dong, Jung-gu, Busan South Korea
Jagalchi Market, located on the shoreside road in Busan's Jung-gu, is Korea's largest seafood market, selling both live and dried fish. After the Korean War, the market solidified itself as a fish market. Most of the people who sell fish are women, so the vendors here are called Jagalchi Ajumma, "ajumma" meaning middle-aged or married woman in Korean.

Stop At: Yongdusan Park, 37-55, Yongdusan-gil, Jung-gu, Busan 48950 South Korea
Yongdusan Mountain (49m) in downtown Busan is one of Busan's three famous mountains. It was originally called Songhyeonsan Mountain, which means a mountain with a view of the sea through the dense pine tree forest.

Stop At: Busan Tower, 37-30, Yongdusan-gil, Jung-gu, Busan 48950 South Korea
Loved by Busan citizens and tourists alike, the tower offers a stunning night view and plenty to see, such as the Statue of the Great Admiral Yi Sun-sin, the Bell of the Citizens, a flower clock and a bust of the Busan-based independent activist, Baeksan An Hee-je.

Pass By: Yeongdodaegyo Bridge, 46, Taejong-ro, Yeongdo-gu, Busan 49042 South Korea
Yeongdodaegyo Bridge, connecting Jung-gu and Yeongdo-gu districts in Busan, was the first mainland-island connecting bridge in Busan. The bridge lifts to allow ships to pass between the south and north ports, rising anywhere from two to seven times in one day.
