About this activity
After hotel pickup, you'll start driving on Highway No. 1 making the first stop at Miraflores Village. This town is also known as Rancho Viejo and it is a very peaceful community where you can find saddlers and ecological rustic furniture makers, which you'll get to visit during the tour. You will also see the House of Culture where you'll learn about the various clothing people used over time at the town.

Continue the tour to Santiago. This is a picturesque town situated around an Oasis or fresh lagoon water. Here, you'll visit the regional zoo, which is the only one in Baja South. See some animal species and then head to the Mission in this town which is a very important one. This village was also visited by famous people like John Wayne and others.

Following with the tour, you'll go to Los Barriles. This is a fishing village that is slowly becoming popular with tourists. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant and finally head to Buena Vista where you will visit a hotel and discover the thermal, natural hot springs flowing under the hotel and into the beach.

You will head back to Los Cabos after this visit.

The villages were great. Our guide: Juan was great. I particularly like the Oasis he took us to see. From the lookout it was just like in the movies and was the first one I had seen from a viewpoint. The natural hot well in Buena Vista was a surprise. It was interesting to see how it is being used by the Buena Vista hotel for its pools and tropical plants.

Excellent knowledgeable guide. Highly interesting and very rural visits to a two person tannery, a small furniture making factory. Hot springs and excellent narration and humor the entire trip. Great lunch at a small fishing village. I would have liked to have spent more time in the fishing village to walk around after lunch and see the docks. However we had to get back for two cruise passengers. It might be better if they had not been encouraged to come on the tour but picked a shorter one.
