Your tour begins at the Plaza del Arenal, a central point where you meet your guide. On your culinary journey, visit two bars typical of the city and savor a tapa at each site. You also won’t want to miss a glass of the famous sherry. Specific dishes vary depending on the day and season, but some examples include ajo caliente (hot garlic), la cola de toro (oxtail stew), el puchero (garbanzo stew), los chicharrones (pork rinds), la berza (cabbage), los alcauciles (Arabic Word for alcachofas, or artichokes) and the well-known riñones al jerez (kidney in sherry sauce). These ingredients can be more commonly found in bygone days, many times governed by the shortages of products. Learn about how these dishes vary from town to town.
