Itinerary

Day 1: Memorial de Caen and D-Day Landing Beaches

Stop At: Memorial de Caen, Esplanade General Eisenhower, 14050 Caen France
You will be picked up from the railway station in Caen in an air-conditioned vehicle by your guide from Mémorial de Caen and taken to the Memorial de Caen Museum for a guided tour of the Second World War exhibitions, followed by lunch at La Terrace, Mémorial de Caen's restaurant.

Stop At: D-Day Beaches (Plages du Debarquement de la Bataille de Normandie), Comite Regional de Tourisme de Normandie 14 Rue Charles Corbeau, Evreux, 27000 France
ln the afternoon, you will go on a 5.5-hour long bilingual (French/English) tour of the landing beaches in an air-conditioned vehicle, to visit: Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach, the American Cemetery, and to watch the film “Normandy’s 100 days” at the circular cinema in Arromanches-Les-Bains. You will also be given an illustrated booklet on the Normandy landings.

You will then make your way Bayeux, where your guide will drop you off at your hotel for the night.

Day 2: Bayeux

Stop At: Musee Memorial de la Bataille de Normandie, Boulevard Fabian Ware, 14400, Bayeux France
After breakfast, you will have free time to visit the town of Bayeux and the Museum of the Battle of Normandy in Bayeux.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Musee de la Tapisserie de Bayeux, 13 rue de Nesmond Centre Guillaume le Conquerant, 14401, Bayeux France
You will then take an audio-guided tour of the famous Bayeux Tapestry before going back to your hotel, where a taxi will pick you up and transfer you to Bayeux railway station.
