This was a wonderful and memorable tour. Our guide, Oliver was professional and knowledgeable. He picked us up from our ship and drove us to the different parts of Normandy and we all learned and understood geocentric a more detailed understanding of the impact of this historical time during WWII . We also did a stop in Bayeux for lunch and then saw the 68 meter long historical tapestry. A great day!
This was an excellent tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, explaining a lot of the history of the region as well as the story of the D-Day landing and the roll the Canadian forces played. We toured the Juno Beach Center as well as the Canadian cemetery. Very emotional at times.
Hats off to our guide, Roman! He gave us an excellent, insightful, emotional step by step journey of the Canadian troops from the DDay Juno landing beach through the various villages to the final goal for operation overlord. He took the time to help us find a plaque for a friend's father and later took us to a site of an old farmwhere the man likely saw battle. Not only did he present the tour very well, but you could tell that he has continually added to his knowledge about the Canadian DDay contribution. Well done, this will stay with us forever.
