Trexenta (Sardinia) is an area surrounded by lush, green countryside where the abundance of water and the good climate have always allowed a rich production of olive oil, wine and cereals. Thanks to the fertility of the landscape, different populations have chosen to live here over centuries.
Experience an engaging journey discovering Trexenta, one of the most fascinating areas of Sardinia. An area surrounded by lush, green countryside where the abundance of water and the good wheater have always allowed a rich production of oil, wine and cereals. Thanks to the fertility of the landscape over the centuries, different e have chosen to live here. There are some evidences that are lost in time from the pre-Nuragic civilization. The name is likely to be linked to the legend of the "trecenta oppida," three hundred fortified villages that over the centuries have become, to a large extent, disappeared villages.
An important feature of this area is surely the wheat, which has changed the landscape. In fact, in this village was created the Museo del Grano (Wheat Museum).
During this experience, we visit a local bakery where we have the possibility to discover how to knead the dough, different kind of flours and many types of bread: “su civraxiu” round loaf, “su coccoi” bread of ceremonies.
Then, with the support of the expert hands of a baker, we learn how to make the tipycal bread.
After, we taste some different breads with a local wine.
