Sardinian Bread Baking Experience

About this activity
An engaging journey to discover one of the most fascinating areas of Sardinia: Trexenta.
An area surrounded by lush, green countryside where the abundance of water and the good climate have always allowed a rich production of oil, wine and cereals. Thanks to the fertility of the landscape over the centuries different populations have chosen to live here.
There are numerous testimonies that are lost in time from pre-Nuragic civilization. The name is likely to be linked to the legend of the
"trecenta oppida", three hundred fortified villages that over the centuries have become, to a large extent, disappeared villages.
Characteristic feature of the area is surely the wheat, and it is to this noble cereal that we will dedicate our itinerary, beginning out journey visiting the "Museo del Grano" (The Wheat Museum).
Located in the main house to Ortacesus "Serra", the museum was designed to document the tradition of growing cereals in Sardinia. The museum is organized in four interior sections and two exterior. We are not faced with just a museum where curious objects of culture and tradition of the cereal are exhibited, but with an active institution, a place of memory that communicates with the present to transmit values and knowledge.
In addition to the guided tour, the tour includes an engaging and fun experience in the preparation of typical bread and pasta. You will learn secular traditions of baking bread on the Sardinian way and taste some great local food and delicacies.
Get ready for an unforgettable, off the beaten path experience in Cagliari surroundings!
