ESTUARY FISHING IN TRINITY INLET, CAIRNS
Guided Fishing Adventures in the smooth waters of the Estuaries of Trinity Inlet, Cairns.

We supply all Rods & PENN reels, all bait & tackle, cold drinks, plus our experienced fishing guide.
We don`t just go fishing, we go exploring the mangrove-lined waterways and the rainforest for the vast bird life, the butterflies and the ever-present saltwater crocodiles.
Boarding for morning and full day charter starts at 7.00 am.
Boarding for afternoon starts at 12:50 pm.
Your vessel `River Rocket` is a Cairns build 6 metre flat bottom punt. With a carpet floor and a canopy running over 3/4 length of the vessel.
`River Rocket` is powered by the latest Suzuki 4 stroke 140 hp.
Your fishing charter starts from the Marlin Marina in front of the Pier shopping centre. Depending on tides and weather the first form of fishing is catching the live-bait via a cast net. Depending on target species and time of the year as well as tides live bait will include prawns, sardines and mullet. Your experienced fishing guide will choose fishing spots bearing in mind tides, weather and customer request for target species are always welcome.
Your fishing guide will teach you how to handle fish correctly as some have poison spikes, etc.; as well as advise if eatable otherwise catch and release will be practiced and the fish returned safely to the water.
Common tropical estuarine species caught are but not limited to.....Grunter (Javelin Fish), Fingermark, Blue Salmon, Queen Fish (Queenies), Thread Fin, Mangrove Jack, Estuary Cod, Bream, Flathead, Trevally, Hairtail, Tarpon, Mud Crabs and....The Prize catch a Barramundi, to name a few.
Please notify on board if you wish to `spot a croc` we will endeavour to locate a saltwater crocodile.
Half day morning from 7.30 am to 12.00 pm is available for a share charter or as a sole charter.
Half day afternoon from 1.00 pm to 5.30 pm is available for a share charter or as a sole charter.
Full day estuary fishing is available as a share charter from 7.30 am to 12.00 pm, then from 1.00 pm to 5.30 pm.
NOTE no lunch is provided, the vessel returns to the Marlin Marina in front of the Pier Shopping Centre on Finger D berth 2.
Full day sole (private) charter is available for up to 6 people from 7.00 am to 4.00 pm with a delicious lunch included.
