Make your way to Marlin Marina, located in the heart of Cairns, to meet your guide for your flyboard experience.
Begin with a safety briefing and an introduction to your equipment, then get started with your flyboarding lesson. Put on the provided wetsuit and helmet, then take a Jet Ski with your instructor over to the part of the marina where you can take flight.
Your instructor demonstrates how to handle the gear and hold yourself in the water as you prepare for the water jets to spring into action below you. Be amazed as you lift out of the water for the first time; it is an unforgettable experience. With the powerful jets, you can propel yourself up to 30 feet (10 meters) above the water’s surface.
Flyboarding is relatively easy to learn and definitely safe. Think of it like you're learning how to ride a bike; the initial learning curve can be tough, but you soon find your balance and are able to master the basic flying position. With proper instruction, most people can gain control and fly comfortably within 10 minutes.
Once you have mastered the starting position, your instructor watches carefully as you practice turns and get your balance. Your instructor stays close by throughout your experience, assisting as needed with steering, elevation control, deep-water landings, walking on water and more.

Even me as probably their worst "student" ever - never did skateboarding or similar things before- was able to fly and control the board after a few minutes . It was great fun and I would love to do it again if I have the chance to come back to Cairns in the future. Thanks Chris and Luke!
I had a great time. It was a lot easier than it looked and I was up in no time. Flyboarding was the next best thing to hover boards.
