Stop At: Frankland Islands Cruise and Dive, 240 Severin St, Parramatta Park, Cairns, Queensland 4870 Australia

Discover one of Tropical North Queensland’s best-kept secrets! Hosting vibrant fringing reefs, rock pools, white sandy beaches and dense rainforest, the Great Barrier Reef’s Frankland Islands are a pristine archipelago that are not to be missed. Escape the crowds on this exclusive day tour that takes in the incredible sights of the Reef, Rainforest and River. Take our comfortable, air-conditioned coach or meet us at our departure point south of Cairns. Hop onto a luxury boat that will take you on a 30-minute leisurely cruise down the Mulgrave River. Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for crocodiles along the mangrove’s edge! A short open water crossing will take you to your tropical island destination for the day - Frankland Islands National Park. You’ll have 4.5 hours to relax and explore this secluded part of the Great Barrier Reef that sees no more than 100 visitors each day. Snorkel straight from the pristine white sandy beach, where an expert marine naturalist will guide you over colourful corals and tropical fish, explaining this unique and wonderful ecosystem. This guided tour is included for all travellers.

Choose to purchase an array of optional activities such as an adventure snorkel safari, semi-submersible or glass bottom boat tour, scuba diving or a guided island walk, or hire a stand up paddle board or Sea-Doo underwater scooter. Included in your tour is a tropical buffet lunch served on the island with a choice of fresh local prawns, salads, chicken, ham, cheese, bread and an abundance of fresh tropical fruit. Enjoy coffee, tea and cake on board our air-conditioned vessel before transferring to our coach or your car to arrive back in Cairns around 5:00 PM.

Excellent tour but we were lucky to only have 20 people that day. Having a marine biologist on the tour made the day a great experience.
