Rainforest, Island, Waterfall Adventure - Mission Beach Day Tour

Barefoot Tours customises the timings of the day based on the customers and the weather that nature delivers that day… With only a few things slightly restricted by time like rafting & Dunk island. 

Day 1: Enjoy a complimentary hotel pickup and transfer from your hotel or hostel, Cairns Northern Beaches (from 8:30 am) or Cairns City (from 9:30 am). Departing Cairns around 10 am we head south into the Wet Tropics National Park's.

Visiting the historical Babinda Boulders, where you will have the opportunity to take a dip in the refreshing Babinda waters or you may wish to learn about the indigenous history and take a short rainforest walk to the devils pool, local tea and coffee will be served here with some yummy morning tea...

Next we head to Josephine falls a short trip away, Josephine falls is most famous for its natural rock slide into the bottom freshwater pool & also it's stunning series of waterfalls that lead down to the natural rock slide. At Josephine falls most people opt for a chance at the natural rock slide and freshwater swim, after your swim our guides will have lunch prepared, which is a buffet style picnic meal with sandwiches & fresh fruit.

In the afternoon we head to Mena Creek falls, this is where you are able to have a sneak peak of the beautiful and historical Paronella park (you may want to come back and do a separate tour later after our tour ends).

Our final destination for day to is the Stunning Mission Beach where we will stay overnight... If we have time in the afternoon, you may want to ask our guide if they can take you to the locals popular Luggers Bay lookout or to hang out on the beach soaking in nature.

After dinner then the night is yours...

Day 2: In the morning wake up to the smell of a typical Aussie breakfast, Bacon and eggs on toast, you may wish to opt for the vegan friendly pancakes with fresh fruit before we head to the beach for our boat transfer to Dunk Island.

Dunk Island from 8am till 11:30am, snorkel gear included or you may want to do another walk to another lookout instead... the choice is yours.

For the afternoon you can choose one of three activities (must be prebooked):
• Stay at Dunk Island until 3:30pm
• Opt for a Half Day Rainforest Raft with the legendary Wildside Adventures
• Opt to jump out of a plane with Skydive Australia over the beautiful Mission BeachThis is the last activity for the day, and we meet up around 4pm to meet the rafters in Tully at 5ish, celebrate at the local pub before we make our way back to Cairns (approx. 2hrs away).
