D1 - Cairo (arrival)
Arrival at Cairo airport, meeting with driver and assistance with luggage. Transfer to accommodation. Overnight at hotel.
D2 - Giza and Saqqara
Breakfast at hotel. Enjoy an excursion to visit the famous pyramids: Cheops (the largest built circa 2650 BC. JC.), one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world and the only one that has stood the test of time. It was for over 40 centuries the highest monument erected by the man with a height of 146 meters. When you finish exploring the Great Pyramids our next stop is a visit to the Sphinx monument; guarding the royal burial chambers and temple of Cheops. It is a mythical statue with the body of a lion & human head. The tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple. Following by Visit the necropolis of Sakkara, used as a cemetery for thousands of years, and still hides many secrets in the desert sand. The Pyramid at Sakkara is one of the oldest stone structures in the world. It was built during the Third Dynasty (about 2630 BC) for King Djoser and its construction was overseen by his vizier Imhotep. Overnight at hotel.
D3 - Old Cairo & Egyptian Museum
Breakfast at hotel. Morning, our tour guide and A/C minivan will pick you up at your hostel. Enjoy an excursion to visit Old Cairo (Coptic Cairo), which gives you an idea of the atmosphere in which the early Christians lived in Egypt, visiting the Hanging Church, the Church of St. Barbara, the Church of St. Sergius & the Ben Ezra Synagogue. following by Visit the National Museum of Antiquities including the treasures range from the prehistoric age to the Roman period. You will see among others the famous treasure of Tutankhamen. It houses over 250,000 pieces, is one of the largest museums in the world. It allows visitors to discover the history of ancient Egypt through five millennia. Overnight at hotel.
D4 - Azhar Mosque, Citadel Salah El Din, Bazaar
Breakfast at hotel. Morning, our tour guide and A/C minivan will pick you up at your hostel. Enjoy an excursion to visit Visit the Citadel of Salah El Din, with in its enclosure the mosque of Mohamed Ali. The citadel was built on the hills in 1183 AD Moqattam overlooking the whole city was a point of defense against the Crusaders. Salah El Din appointed to be the governor of Egypt after the death of the sultan of Damascus, Noor-el-Din. Then, Visit the Al Azhar mosque, founded in 970, is one of the oldest mosques in Cairo and the headquarters of Al-Azhar University, the second oldest university in the world still active. And finally you go to Khan El Khalili Bazaar, one of the most oldest markets in the Middle East. Overnight at hotel.
