About this activity
Day 1 - Arrival
You will be picked up from Cairo airport and be transferred to your 5* hotel to check in. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 2 - Pyramids Tour
Meet your Egyptologist at 9am at your hotel, then start your full day guided tour visiting the Giza Pyramids and the Great Sphinx, Saqqara with its Step Pyramid and ancient cemetery, and Memphis, the old capital and its open air museum. During the tour there will be a chance to stop for lunch at a nice local restaurant (optional). Transfer back to the hotel. Overnight in Cairo
Day 3 - Cairo City Tour
Meet with Egyptologist guide at 9am at your hotel, then start your full day guided tour visiting the Egyptian Museum and the Alabaster Mosque overlooking old Cairo. Go on a walking tour at Fatimid Cairo and Khan Al Kalili, the old bazaar. During the tour there will be a chance to stop for lunch at a nice Nile view restaurant (optional). Transfer to the train station to catch the overnight train to Aswan.
Day 4 – Aswan – Embarkation
Arrival at Aswan and check in on your Cruise Ship. Enjoy guided tour, visiting the fantastic Philae Temple and Aswan High Dam. Overnight on board.
Day 5- Optional Abu Simbel Tour and Kom Ombo
Free morning. You have the option to pay a visit to the glorious temples of Abu Simbel (3:30am pick-up from the cruise ship). Late afternoon excursion to to Kom Ombo and visit the temple there. Overnight on board.
Day 6 - Edfu and Luxor East Bank
In the morning arrive to Edu and visit Temple of Horus. Later on arrive to Luxor and visit Karnak Temple, then visit Luxor Temple. Overnight on board.
Day 7 - Luxor West Bank – Disembarkation
Start guided tour to see Colossi of Menmon, Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens. Then visit Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. In the evening transfer to the train station to take the overnight train back to Cairo.
Day 8 - Departure
Arrival at Cairo in the morning and transfer to the airport or your accommodation.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!! Day 2 - Pyramids Tour: Our tour guide almost skipped over Memphis until I brought it up that it was stated in the itinerary. Even so, we were only taken to the Memphis museum for about 20 minutes. Day 3 - Our full day tour ended up being a tour that started at 11am instead of 9am. The first class train seat are also just seats all the way in the back in the train with no outlets or anything for charging. Day 4 - upon arrival at Aswan, we were unable to check in our tour yet. So the tour guide picked us up and squeezed in Philae Temple and High Dam tour at 6am after we arrived from a 12 hour train ride, not having been able to shower at all the night before or morning of and not having been able to charge any of our cameras or anything on the train. Our cruise wasn't even the Emilio Nile cruise or Semiramis Nile cruise as stated in inclusions !! Day 5 - Our visit to Kom Ombo ended up being only a 20 minute rushed guided tour of the huge temple before we were told that we had to return to the cruise. The guide was also super hard to understand!! Day 6 - When our cruise arrived at Luxor, our tour guide did not show up to meet us until TWO hours later. We waited in confusion for TWO hours ... Day 7 - Our tour guide almost also skipped out on visiting the Valley of the Queens, until I brought it up that it was mentioned in our itinerary. The tour guide also squeezed in everything so fast and tried to get through everything as quick as possible, so our visit to Colossi of Memnon was only for TWO MINUTES. DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR. When they say tipping is recommended it's more like they SHOVE a tip envelope in your face, or blatantly tell you to tip more when you they think you didn't tip enough. Because Egypt's tourist economy is so low, any tourists are like easy fishes to catch and exploit.
