About this activity
Day 1

The tour starts with pickup from your accommodation and transportation with the first stop at Giza Plateau. You will see the Pyramids of Giza, one of the remaining wonders of the Ancient World. Visit the Pyramids and enjoy panoramic views from the western plateau, then continue down the valley where the mighty Sphinx stands with great pride. The optional visit to the Solar Boat Museum can be done before having lunch.

After lunch the tour goes to Tahrir square, the heart of downtown Cairo. Visit the Egyptian Museum and learn about Egypt's ancient history, spanning a period of over 50 centuries. The Museum has the world's largest and richest collection of Egyptian antiquities, among them the priceless collection of King Tut.

Information from your Egyptologist tour guide will be provided at every stop, and free time will be permitted for individual exploration of the ancient monuments. Conclude the day tour in an air-conditioned vehicle back to the original pickup location.

Day 2

In the morning your friendly driver will pick you up from your accommodation and transfer you to Cairo Airport for a flight to Luxor for a full day tour. Upon arrival at Luxor Airport you will pair up with your Egyptologist tour guide, who will take you to the Necropolis of Thebes, the Valley of the Kings on the West Bank of Luxor, including the Tomb of King Tutankhamun. It consists of tombs embedded in the mountain Thebes. This ancient necropolis is a must-see for Luxor travelers.

After visiting the tombs, you will be transported to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the only woman ever to reign over Egypt as pharaoh. Afterwards, you will be taken to see the Colossi of Memnon, the two largest ancient statues in Egypt, which date back to the era of King Amenhotep III around 1391-1353BC. Then, you will have a break to enjoy lunch in a restaurant with Nile view on the West Bank.

After lunch, you will be transported to Karnak on the East Bank of Luxor. Karnak is a complex of temples built in different reigns, starting with the Avenue of Sphinxes, the Hypostyle Hall with its 134 gigantic columns, the Obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut and Tutomosis I, the Temple of Amon adorned with lotus and papyrus designs, the Granite Scarbeus of Amenophis III and the Sacred Lake.

After touring the sites, you will be transferred to Luxor Airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo you will be transferred back to your accommodation.

This tour includes domestic flight ticket, qualified Egyptologist tour guide, transportation by air-conditioned vehicle, all entrance fees for the mentioned sites, hotel pick up and drop off.
