Our representative will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza, and then start your tour visiting the Egyptian Museum at Tahrir square in downtown Cairo. The museum has thousands of ancient Egyptian artifacts.
The cream of the crops is the collection of the boy-king Tut Ankh Amon having the jewelry enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years. You can also pay a visit to mummies’ room at the museum (extra ticket on spot).
Then move on to Salah El Din Citadel that was built in 1183 AD in order to defend Cairo from the armies of the Crusaders. At the citadel, you will visit the famous mosque of Mohamed Ali that is also named as the Alabaster Mosque. The mosque is one of the most beautiful one in Egypt and it was designed by the Turkish architect Yousif Boushnaq. Mohamed Ali, the owner of the mosque, was the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849) and his tomb is still inside the mosque.
Then continue to see Old Cairo zone “Coptic Cairo’ that is one of the places the holy family passed by during their visit to Egypt. In Coptic Cairo, you will visit the hanging church “suspended Church”, Sait Sergius and Bakhus Church where Jesus the Christ, Virgin Merry and Josef had hidden for some time during their visit to the land of Egypt.
Then continue your visit to Ben Ezra Jewish synagogue that is some historians relate its place to the place where Moses was found and received by the maid of the queen of Egypt at the basket in the Nile River.
