☆The Egyptian Museum at el-Tahrir square,hosts the most important collection of Egyptian art in the world,more than 120,000 objects such as Sarcophagi, Statues, Shrines, Scarabs, and King Tutankamun's treasures, the Museum was established by Auguste Mariette one of the directors of the Louvre Museum, He was sent out to Egypt to collect antiquities and began what would become the first national museum of the whole Middle Eastern area at Boulak, the official opening was on the 18th October 1863, and finally in 1902 the objects moved to their present location in el-Tahrir square,the present Egyptian Museum was designed by the french architect Marcel Dourgnon,
