Our guide was not as knowledgable as other guides we had while in Egypt which was a real bummer (he didn't know any of the dates, etc). Also when they picked us up they told us we were just going to the Giza Pyramids even though the description includes the step pyramids and Memphis. It took a good 30 minutes going back and forth and the guide on the phone with his management until he agreed with the description of the tour. If I could redo it I would pay for something more expensive hoping for a better guide.

If you are ever in Egypt and want to take a tour please contact Emo Tours!! Our tour guide Haitham was the best!! Our driver Fares was an outstanding driver!! The traffic / driving conditions in Giza/ Cairo was unorganized and chaotic. Despite all of that Fares was able to maneuver through the chaos without compromising our safety!! Haitham had so much patience with us and answered All of our questions! Haitham and Fares went over and beyond the call of duty for us!! Haitham also assisted by taking pictures for me! I mentioned to Haitham I wanted to buy some perfume and a cartouche and they took us to Topaz Bazaar and Alfayed Perfume Companywhich was not part of our tour! For lunch we went to El Dar Darak the food was delicious and the entire staff was outstanding! I can't say enough about Haitham and Fares they exceeded our expectations!! I must say they made our trip memorable! My companion and I went to Egypt alone and we became friends with Haitham and Fares!! When we come back to Egypt we will request our dynamic duo again!!!

This was an incredible tour, we had the best guide Samra who was fantastic to travel with. She provided immense knowledge on everything Egyptian and answered all our questions as well helped fend off unwanted 'souvenir' vendors. Prompt pickup at our hotel, were taken to a great local place where we had an outstanding lunch and took care of all our needs at each site. This is by far one of the best experiences we have had while abroad. Highly recommend everyone doing this tour, it is a must do. Ask for Samra who speaks Arabic, English, French, Spanish and learning Chinese! We could not have had a better experience, a private tour is the way to go as you can dictate the schedule and time taken at each site as well as navigate these attractions with much more ease than the big tour groups. Well done EMO tours!

I landed in Cairo en route to Ireland making a stop over for a couple of days to see the great Egyptian Pyramids I had booked a private whole day trip prior to landing in Cairo. So Friday morning - a holiday in Cairo, I was pleasantly surprised to see my travel guide approach me in the lobby as I sat having my morning tea, 15 minutes earlier than my scheduled 8:00 am departure times The tour of Cairo was incredible! An experience to behold and cherish! The Pyramids, the Sphinx ,The Statues... In this respect this was a wonderful tour ... no regrets and I would highly recommend Cairo as a destination! But this review is not merely about the city and the tour. It is dedicated to a service - and the quality of it - to the likes of my guides Osama and his driver buddy Mido ! If I was a first time traveller to Cairo I would insist on these two, to being my guide! In fact when and if I do visit Cairo again I will insist on and use only the services of the duet - Osama - Mido to be my guide yet again ! Osama was amazingly friendly knowledgable and pleasant guy and he and his colleague Mido (who was fasting - it was the month of Ramadan)) who sat patiently behind the wheels driving this fairly new air condition car, regaled me with the amazing history of this great civilization... not just regular common historical stuff but minute interesting details, En route as we neared the pyramids we stopped briefly as I wanted to get some great pictures from afar and he took some great pictures of me with the pyramids / monuments in the background This apart, he went out of his way, on my request, to take me to buy a carpet in an outskirt of Cairo entroute to the Ramses Statue in Memphis... After I had bought the carpet I casually asked his if he would have received any commission for the sale! I was pleasantly surprised and more so the happier, with his honesty, when he replied in the affirmative How many tour guides have any one of us come across who are this honest - for me it was the first ! But it was however when my tour came to an end, that i just could not believe the levels of fair play and again honesty that I experienced as a first timer in a new city ...i At the hotel, as I alighted from the car and Osama bid me well, he turned to me with 400 Egyptian pounds in his hand saying " Sir, this is what I owe you back and would like to return to you ..... its the left over amount from the lunch you chose not to have and of the entrance ticket to a site you chose not to visit, hence the balance ....." Has anyone , experienced such honesty from a tour guide before! He was not obliged to return these monies to me...... especially since I was the one who chose not to have the lunch and I was the one who chose to cancel the visit to a site which required an entrance fee.... but he did! I smiled , thanked him and asked him to keep the amount - my small and humble way of thanking him for an excellent tour! So here is my thanks again yet again Osama and Mido, I made two new friends in Cairo - I shall be back! You guys have done your country Egypt proud! Until then have fun, carry on the good work, continue spreading your goodwill !
