The guide was very knowledgeable about the sites and history. His car was not quite up to par, but was adequate and air conditioned. When we got to the pyramids at Giza, he informed us that to see the pyramids well we'd have to hire a horse and carriage with a driver or use camels or horses. He would only walk with us for 45 minutes. So we hired the horse and carriage for an additional $100 per person - quite steep. It lasted for an hour. And that driver kept pushing us for a large gratuity.
