Trip Outline
9 am:Meet your guide at Grotto Canyon trailhead.Please bring your day pack with water, snack and appropriate outerwear.Receive a brief introduction to your day and sign waivers.
9:15 am: Hit the Trail!
9:15 am-11:30am:Fossil hunting (catch and release only!), wildlife viewing, geology, ecology, ancient pictographs, and a scenic rest stop at a waterfall. We will be criss-crossing a creek throughout our journey up the canyon.The rocks can be slippery so come prepared with sturdy shoes that you are not afraid to get wet.
11:30am-12:30pm:Return to trailhead along the same route.Depart for the Canmore Geoscience Museum (complimentary with price of tour).
*Times and duration are approximate based on the fitness and interests of the group.We will strive to please everyone but be prepared to go at the pace of the slowest person.Participants must stay with the group but there will be so much to see that we will definitely keep your eyes busy!
