About this activity
Your summer bobsled adventure takes place at the Frank King Day Lodge at Canada Olympic Park. This was the venue used in the 1988 Winter Olympics for ski jumping, bobsled and luge, and today is used for sports year-round. Though bobsled is typically a winter sport, Canada Olympic Park has a special track that can be used in the summer.

After checking in and signing a waiver, meet your shuttle driver and shuttle up to the start location, then meet your expert pilot for a helmet fitting. Your pilot will position you into the sled for optimal speed (seating is at the discretion of the pilot).

Then hold on tight as your bobsled begins! Zip and zoom down the bobsled course, twisting around 10 turns, and feel your adrenaline rush as you hit speeds of up to 50 mph (80 kph) and reach 2 g-forces!

Please allow 60 minutes for this activity.

They booked us for 10:00 a.m. we showed up at 9:30, but our ride was not until 11:30. Too much wasted time. The ride however, was awesome! Our pilot was great, Team Canada Olympian, sorry I can’t remember her name.

Fantastic! What an adrenaline rush! Very well organised and professionally run, we felt totally safe and thoroughly enjoyed the ride - not bad for a couple of 60s.

Outstanding! I had the pleasure of sitting in the front 'driver' seat and the experience was something I will never forget! We were driven by one of the USA bobsled team who helped us and answered any questions. Really recommend this as well as the luge rides which are on the same site.

This experience is great just because of the chance to do this activity. It is all of 30 minutes counting the shuttle to the top, brief orientation, ride, and return walk so it is an expensive 30 minutes. But when you are done you really have some bragging rights! How many folks can say that they have ridden an Olympic course bobsled! It was an easy uber ride to Olympic Park and the check in was easy to find at guest services the building to the right of all the flags. The office staff keeps your belongings so you will not have to worry about them. You can take your phone but I was afraid that it would sling out because it is a rough ride. The only problem I had was after the ride...I exited the ride but really did not know how to get back to guest services and no one offered to shuttle us back or give us directions. This place is huge and I had to use goggle maps to find my way to walk back. It was sort of like, we have your money and you have done the ride so good luck. I would not do it again but overall, a great, once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Oh wow what an adrenaline rush. 50 odd seconds of shear gut wrenching downhill terror. The staff were great and the whole experience was fantastic. The venue is a little difficult to find your way into, especially now that there is a huge construction program impacting the surrounding roads. It was also a bit of a shame that we couldn't see much of the other Olympic facilities as these were under construction/maintenance also. We decided to visit the Olympic museum adjacent to the bobsled track and this really made the morning a great experience. I would recommend this for anyone who has a taste for excitement and we recommended it to all of our family group who over the next day or so did the downhill run. They all said it was amazing!

Bobsleigh run excellent. Real adrenaline rush. Driver great - very friendly and knowledgeable. Over too quickly - would like to have started at top of the course! Note: Don't arrive by public transport since not dropped off near to registration point.

Had a blast going down this course, cannot wait to feel it on ice in the winter.
