Calima Lake: Tour around the lake and the Yotoco reserve

We will begin our experience in the morning where we will venture through the valley and then up one of the branches of the west mountain range. On our way there we will stop for breakfast typical of the region. From there we will venture on for, this will take around 2 hours.

Stop At: Calima Lake, Darien Colombia

We will take a small ferry or speedboat out to the lake where a guide will talk about the origins of the lake, some general information and interesting facts.

We will then head out to the colorful town of Darien and have a chance to visit some of the local artesanal and typical foods of the regions. After some time in town, we will head out to lunch where we will enjoy a typical dish of the region.

After a good and heavy lunch we will head out the natural reserve of yotoco, where we will have the pleasure of walking through nature trails and being a part of a diverse ecosystem with a huge amount of fauna and flora.
Another option that we might carry out is the museum of the Calima. This small museum has some of the most important artefacts when it comes to the culture of the calima indigenous. This museum also has a beautiful backyard with a number of exotic trees and flora.
After enjoying either of these options we will head back to the city.
