The Chichen Itza guide provided through Mayan Tours was very knowledgeable. Transportation was clean and on time which in the July heat was very much appreciated. For the Catamaran Sail, upon arrival at the dock we were given the option to upgrade to the semi-private boat for a fee. It was worth it. Food and drinks were great and Flippy and his crew were very accommodating.

Chichen Itza Tour: Maurisio and Andres were a wonderful team. Maurisio taught us about much of the Mayan culture he is 1/4 Mayan as we traveled to Chichen Itza. His English was great and he had a great sense of humor and kept us entertained. The lunch buffet had a great variety and there was plenty of food. The Catamaran Sail with snorkeling was good. This was more of a party atmosphere and was quite entertaining. The catamaran would anchor out near the reefs and we would plunge into the water and snorkel. We then boarded back up and headed into Isla Mujeres and did some shopping. The Black Diamond was where they directed us to go for the restrooms. Upon entering, we had a personal shopper helping us with our purchase decisions. He stayed with us for the full 45 minutes we were in there.

The guide, Victor Gonzalez, was a 5. Victor was extremely knowledgeable. The bus ride was a 1. On the way there, we had to wait 15 minutes at a Pemex station to pick up a tour company employee. On the way back, the air conditioning was out. It was a very hot day and the return bus ride was very uncomfortable.

You would think for that price and two completely different tours you could expect to be bored or feel like they are fast fooding you but NOT, by the contrary....Each day was AWESOME! It was fun and very informative. The cruise to Isla Mujeres was a total party. I loved every minute of it!!!!!!
