Great tour to see both Coba and Tulum. I thought you have a tour van that takes you straight there but no, they pick others from different hotels beginning at 7 am. We were picked up at 8:15 am and still were picking up other people until 9:30 am. Feel sorry for those people who were in the tour bus since 7am, two hours sitting in the tour bus while they go from one hotel to another. We were later transferred at a meeting location for people who were going to Coba/Tulum or Chickenza. The tour guide lady asked if there were English speaking people on the tour van and we were the only English speaking people. She would talk like 50 words in Spanish and say like 10 words in English through out the tour. We know we miss a lot of information, sometimes we have to ask the other people as to what we were doing next. They took us to swim in the Cenote, which I didn't see it as a part of the tour package, which was a great addition. Would have like it to be given the choice to tour Tulum by myself or with tour guide. We were with the tour guide and didn't get to go and spend more or less time as we like there. Should have a meeting time scheduled when you venture by yourself. At Coba, tour package said you can rent the bicycles to Coba but we were glad it was included in the price. The walk from the starting point to Coba building was like about a mile. There were like tri-cycles taxi so you don't even have to peddle and it was lots of fun and different. Overall, it was a good trip but is quite pricey.
